Contemplation, Week 3

Hello! And welcome to Week 3 of Contemplation. Thanks again to Desley from musings of a frequent flying scientist, for starting the Contemplation series. Each week Desley chooses a prompt from her Kikki.K A Sentence a Day Journal and invites us to share our response. Here are my posts from Week one + two. Today’s question: What do you like to do in your “me” time? If you had asked me this a few months ago I would’ve only said: Put my favourite playlist on blast and dance around the house like an idiot. As much as I still LOVE doing that, it took me a while I’ve managed to find other things I enjoy doing too. Three months ago I found myself having an abundance of ‘me’ time and in the beginning it wasn’t going as well as I had planned. I thought I would spend it solely on myself. That I would lock myself in a room and write until my fingers bled, do Yoga every single day or that I would fully immerse myself in daily meditation again …

Reflection: January

Hello! Hope January has been good to you so far? My oh My, what a year (too soon?) It’s been already. Finally started looking forward to some of the changes that are on the way but before all that: Coulda Woulda Shoulda. I know it’s in the past now, and we should’ve left all our worries and ‘’baggage’’ in 2015, BUT life doesn’t work that way and some of us mere mortals don’t work that way. SO here’s to those of us who can admit we struggle to just ‘’let go’’ and are not able to start every year so fresh and so clean (Outkast always and forever). Honestly I stumbled into the new year like a lost sheep who REALLY just wanted her mummy. Now that we’re getting ready to welcome a brand new month, have I recovered and managed to go back out there all confident and shiny… NOPE! I’m still feeling unbalanced and very unsure about the future. Sigh. Luckily I am aware of some of the reasons behind this. Confession, remember …

Three Things Thursday

Happy Three Things Thursday.  How’s your week going? Keeping things short and sweet this week, so let’s jump straight into what has made this week lovely! Best Friend SKYPE! Despite time difference still making it difficult to skype as much as I’d like, my best friend and I had an amazing skype session. We spoke about everything but the majority of the time was spent with us screaming in excitement at the fact that we’ll be re-united SOON! Healthier Choices. I’m still doing Yoga Camp, hooray! But that aside, I’ve also been enjoying going for runs (who I’m I!?) and getting creative in the kitchen this week. Made a delicious and healthy spinach, mushroom frittata which was surprisingly DELICIOUS. (Mans)Best Friend. My dog has been in a sweeter mood (than usual) this week, giving me nothing but kisses and cuddles, which are always WELCOME. It’s definitely making the week run smoother. What or who has made your week lovelier than usual?

Three Things Thursday

Happy Three Things Thursday.  How are you? Its been a while right!? Apologise but towards the end of last year, my head was not in right place at all, so Three Things took a back seat. Today though, I am feeling all sorts of warm and fuzzy, so let’s get onto what helped make this week wonderful. Time Well Spent. Thanks to the holidays, I’ve been able to spend some much needed time with Mr Cheerful. This week we’ve  been out on lots of fun dates, some of which I’ll post on here soon …  Yay for holidays! STAR WARS. Finally went to see it last night and I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. Mr Cheerful said that it was nice to see that it wasn’t too gimmicky or an over use of CGI. Basically was nice to see them sticking to their roots. Yoga Camp. I’ve managed to commit to it so far which has me feeling positive and confident, there are daily affirmations thrown in tthere too which is just …

Reflection:December w/2016 Vision

Hello! Hello! This is probably the latest Reflection post, but I had to take a minute to stop freaking out. Usually with a new year, like so many people I go on a mad hunt for sources of inspiration in the form of reading other Blogs, Quotes and scrolling through Instagram. I usually leave feeling refreshed and ready to tackle whatever comes my way. This time however, the hunt hasn’t worked its magic. I can’t shake the feeling of anxiety. Mainly because last year was possibly one of the most revealing and emotionally RAW, I’ve had in a long time. Although with new years, signs push us to leave the past behind, let go and embrace whatever lies ahead. Personally for me with the lead up to 2016, I found myself anxiously biting my nails and letting out a HUGE sigh. I don’t want to let this feeling swallow me whole, before I’ve had the chance to see what beautiful things could manifest. I mean there are many possibilities, such as going back to the …
